So far this isn't an issue but my daughter's only 16 months old. I really hope she keeps going straight to bed when it's bedtime but I know that's unrealistic. Still, I thought it would be unrealistic for her to be sleeping through the night as early as 6 months and that happened so I will remain hopeful!

The only difference for us is that there is no pretense of disappointment.
This is essentially us every evening!
For the last 5 years since my first son was born I have pretended to be a complete idiot when it comes to doing unsavory jobs like changing diapers (ah shucks.... did I put his diaper on backwards again?.... I just can't seem to get the hang of this complicated diapers) or trying to bathe three slippery screaming splashing boys at the same time so that my wife doesn't ask me to do them.
My wife thinks I am a incompetent boob but really I am just a evil genius twho rather spend time with the kids building forts and reading stories.
