As a father to a young boy, I can say, that's depressing. But, in the end the little memories like that end up being part of a sense of love for the other person. Or at least, that's what I'm telling myself right now to avoid tearing up.
Maybe not gone entirely. Even if your son doesn't remember that specific incident, it still contributes to his mental / emotional model of "Dad". And you never know. I remember a similar moment with my father, involving a soda, from when I was three or four (which I know because I remember him saying it was 1970).
Come on guys don't be sad, be proactive! Get the memories on video and make sure they are backed up so they're never lost in a HD failure, then the memories will live forever :)

I love this one.
So true!
Also: Love your comiccccccc!!!!!!!!!
What a great strip! Memory, nostalgia... are we in the past?are we in the present? Very slick storytelling. Tip of the hat!
Why? Why would you make this comic? So Sad.
Yeah but they'll have shaped him, and that's pretty cool. Then he's like one big memory
oh what the F, cut it out! its how someone made you feel, not the specific memory itself. ahhhh
this is what I love about your comics, they are funny, they are sometimes sad but overall they are pretty human.

That's ok. My Dad is and was a huge piece of shit anyways.
Wow, I've got a 2yr old, and this hit way too close to home. Well done on the comic, but now I'm sad.
All those moments will be lost... like tears in rain.

What a sad and beautiful strip. Awesomely executed as always.
Good to know that if I make an ass of myself, my daughter may eventually forget.
I've got something in my eye...
Your writing and the way you illustrate it are incredible. But Jesus Christ, man.
